HL7 Destinations
Your Postmaster delivers HL7 messages that flow into the Central Distribution Folder to the HL7 Destinations. All messages will be evaluated against any Matching Instructions (if you add them), and applying any Transformation Instructions (if you add them).
To edit any existing destination click the Edit button in the list of destination. To delete an existing destination click the Delete button.
You can create as many different destinations for a Postmaster as you like.
With the CORE HL7 Postmaster you can create 4 different types of HL7 Destinations. They are:
•Folder Destination: Delivers HL7 messages to the Data Folder you configure. This Destination is an Open End Point.
•CORE SQL Destination: Imports HL7 messages into a CORE MS SQL Schema database. This Destination is a Closed End Point, as HL7 messages are imported they are consumed.
•HL7 TCP/IP Sender: Sends HL7 messages over TCP/IP to any HL7 Standard TCP/IP MLLP Listener. This Destination is a Closed End Point, as HL7 messages are deliverred they are consumed.
•HL7 IPSec Tunnel Sender: Sends HL7 messages over an Encrypted IPSec tunnel to a CORE HL7 IPSec Tunnel HL7 Listener. This Destination is a Closed End Point, as HL7 messages are delivered they are consumed.
•Rubbish Bins: Rubbish bins are a special type of destination. The job of a Rubbish bin is to "eat" any unwanted HL7 messages and prevent them from being passed on to other destinations. The Rubbish Bin destination CAN be either a Closed End Point or Open End Point. (IF you opt to use the Rubbish Bin Data Folder).
