Welcome to the CORE HL7 Script Engine
Version 1.2

The .Net 8 Main Window (Version 1.1)
NOTE: If you are new to working with our CORE HL7 products you will want to visit the License Activation section for information about how to activate or purchase a license.
The .Net 8 Script Engine is released in January 2025 with a new version coming by February 1st 2025! The .Net Framework Script Engine (shown below) is now moved to Legacy.
The Main Window (.Net Framework Version 1.1)
Created in the Windows .Net Framework Version 4.6.2 platform this Script Engine software was the first generation and is now the "Legacy" script engine. There will be no future iterations of the .Net Framework Script Engine.
Why the 2 different versions? When we created the CORE HL7 C# Script Engine we started with our FREE CORE HL7 Viewer software which is built on the Microsoft .Net Framework 4.6.2. We knew that after creating the CORE HL7 C# Scripting sub-systems we wanted to create the Script Engine software but we did NOT know whether we could in fact port that code over to the .Net 8 platform AND maintain 100% compatibility with the .Net Framework version. So we created the "Legacy" Script Engine software.
What is the future of the Script Engine? Barring something unforeseen, the future is the .Net 8 Script Engine. On initial release the .Net 8 Script Engine version 1.1 will, with the exception of some additional features, be functionally equivalent to the .Net Framework Script Engine.
Does this change affect the pricing? Absolutely not.
Can I run BOTH the .Net 8 Script Engine AND the .Net Framework Script Engine on the same computer? Absolutely. They are separate programs, have separate Windows services, etc. The only thing they will share (for a while) is this online help.

Now you can write quick and easy scripts in Microsoft C# to perform HL7 related tasks!
The COREHL7 API Script Library subsystems are always a work in progress. What this means for you is that any objects, properties, or methods which are NOT documented in this help region or in the CORE HL7 Script Reference are either designated for internal use only (by us) or are not supported for public consumption and may be removed without notice from future releases of the libraries.
This online help is NOT intended to be a primer on the Microsoft C# programming language. It is assumed that the consumer (you) are either proficient or at least a novice at how to write code in the C# language.
You may for assistance if you have any questions.
