When you start a CORE HL7 Script Engine for the first time you will be required to activate a license for the CORE HL7 API (Enterprise). If you have not purchased a license you can activate a free 30 day DEMO license provided that the computer is a) Connected to the Internet and b) Your CORE HL7 Script Engine software is allowed to access the internet and c) You haven't previously activated a DEMO license for the Script Engine OR the CORE HL7 SQL Schema Engine on the computer.

If you have purchased a CORE HL7 API (Enterprise) license and online activation does not work you will need to use "Manual" activation. This involves 3 steps.
1.Create a Activation Request (click Get Activation Request) on the target computer and take the Activation Request to a computer which is running the CORE HL7 License Manager software.
2.In the CORE HL7 License Manager use the Activation Request to activate your CORE HL7 API (Enterprise) license (see here), then retrieve the license activation key (see here) and return that key (via file or clipboard) to the target computer.
3.Click the appropriate button (whether you have a valid license file or the license is on the clipboard) to activate the license on the target computer.

 Activating a DEMO License
To activate a free 30 day DEMO license just click the Demo radio button shown above, then fill out your HermeTech account credentials and click the Activate button.
Some facts about using the DEMO license for the CORE HL7 Script Engine software.
1.It will be fully functional for 30 days from the date you activate it.
2.DEMO licenses MUST use the online activation as shown above. You cannot use the CORE License Manager software to activate a DEMO license OR to retrieve a lost DEMO license.
3.For online activation to work we must be able to access the internet. If it does not work, which will occur if there is no internet connection OR if the CORE Script Engine configuration program is not allowed access to the internet by the machine it's installed on then we can provide you with NO CURE. There is no "manual" activation option as there is for full licenses that you purchase. The only thing that we can tell you is to take the CORE HL7 Script Engine software to a computer where it WILL work and do your evaluation from there.
