NOTE: Online activation for all CORE HL7 Software use the same standard activation interface. This section displays screen-shots from the online activation for the CORE HL7 TCP/IP Listener.
Step 1. Choose Which Type Of License
Choose which type of license you are activating, either DEMO or a license you have purchased. Make sure that you checked Online Activation (via the internet) and click OK.
 Step 2. Online Authentication
Step 2 is authentication. You have to have an account to activate CORE HL7 software, even DEMO software. Enter your credentials and click Log In. Right here is the first time that your CORE HL7 software is attempting to communicate with our Web Services at TransWorldScribe.com. IF you are sure that you have entered your credentials correctly AND you are sure that the computer / server has an internet connection AND this action fails then it is likely that either:
A.There is a network security policy in place that is preventing access to our web service (web site).
B.OR A network security policy is blocking our program from accessing the internet. This can be quite common on enhanced security servers where they allow only the web browser to access the internet and no unrecognized programs.
C.OR Of course there is always the possibility that, for some reason, our website is down. Try visiting TransWorldScribe.com in your browser to rule this out.
IF you cannot complete Step 2 for any reason then you may have to use Manual Activation (see the next expandable section on this page).
IF you are activating a DEMO license Step 2 is the final step. If your authentication is successful AND there has never been a DEMO license created for this computer (by you OR anyone else), then your DEMO license will be activated and you can start playing with your software. If you are activating a license you have purchased you will be presented with Step 3.
 Step 3. Choosing a License
Step 3 Choosing the license you want to activate. On this final window you are presented with a list of all of the different licenses that you own, how many of each that you own, and how many are currently in use. You also have to fill in what is possibly (if you own multiple licenses) the most important field you have to fill in: the Your Note field. The Your Note field is vitally important, it is a short descriptive comment which identifies the installation for you, and for us. If you own 50 CORE HL7 Listener licenses and you need to move or upgrade 1 particular license you will identify it on your account by referring to the Your Note field. You can click the button to set the field to it's default value which is Computer: <computer name>. You just need to ask yourself this: If your installation server is hit by lightning, or destroyed in a fire, or crippled by ransom-ware, and you need support will you be able to identify the license by only the name of the computer?
After completing the Your Note field click the Activate button and your license process is completed!
