CORE HL7 Secure Socket Sender

Creating or Editing A Profile

Creating or Editing A Profile

In section 1 you enter a name for your Sender profile and check whether it is enabled or not. Profile ID and Service Instance are filled out by the software. Your Profile Name must be unique.

In section 2 you configure the end point settings. The Port number to send to and the address. If you check LocalHost only then the IPSec Tunnel Listener receiving your messages MUST be on the same computer. Other than that you can check A TCP/IP Address or DNS Computer lookup and then enter the correct value.

In section 3 you will select the Data Folder and file extension. Again, these values MUST be unique. Different profiles cannot use the same data folder. This data folder will be where you (or some process of yours) will drop HL7 data files that contain HL7 messages that need to be delivered.

Section 4 and Section 5. These 2 sections are special. The Credentials (Section 4) and the Message Envelope (Section 5) will be provided to you by your HL7 Trading Partner(s).
